Annual Chuck Tosovsky Memorial Tribute Event
Each year, the Illinois Green Industry Association hosts an event to honor a leader in the nursery and landscape industry. This event gives us the opportunity to pay tribute to the leadership, service, and sacrifices made by so many of the outstanding members of our organization. It also affords the chance for our members to come together during the winter months for fellowship, good food, and some fundraising to benefit IGIA public policy efforts.

Honoring Chuck Tosovsky
Charles J. "Chuck" Tosovsky, served as President of the the Illinois Nurserymen's Association in 1980 and was instrumental in helping to create and grow the former Mid Am Trade Show. Tosovsky remained engaged and extremely active in association and industry matters long after his tenure on the Board of Directors. Chuck received myriad honors and accolades for his unwavering commitment to the nursery and landscape industry at both the state and national levels, and was a strong proponent and generous supporter of public policy programs, legislative initiatives, education and research. In 2008, he was the celebrated honoree at this very dinner. In 2012, he was inducted into the American Nursery and Landscape Association's Hall of Fame. ANLA’s Bob Dolibois presented Chuck with this esteemed honor at yet another one of these very dinners. In 2015, the IGIA Board of Directors voted unanimously to rename the annual event in honor of Chuck Tosovsky, to celebrate his life and honor his legacy.
