Annual Chuck Tosovsky Memorial Tribute Dinner

Each year, the Illinois Green Industry Association hosts an event to honor a leader in the nursery and landscape industry.  This event gives us the opportunity to pay tribute to the leadership, service, and sacrifices made by so many of the outstanding members of our organization.  It also affords the chance for our members to come together during the winter months for fellowship, good food, and a some fundraising to benefit GIPAC.

Join us for the 14th Annual Tribute Dinner - January 29, 2019

You won't want to miss this year's Chuck Tosovsky Memorial Tribute Dinner!  We will gather in the Cellar Room at Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Arlington Heights, as we honor Platt Hill for his many contributions to our industry.

We will announce the 2019 ICN Pro of the Year and raise important funds for our GIPAC efforts through both live and silent auctions. We have a couple of surprises planned, which won't be announced until later, but we promise a night of fun and fellowship with your industry peers!

Call for Auction Items

Planning is underway for the Annual Tribute Dinner to raise critical funds for GIPAC. Your help is needed so we can host both live and silent auctions that will intrigue bidders. Even if you can’t attend the event, your auction donation is an important contribution to the success of this effort.

**New** Wine Pull Fundraiser

A new feature at this year’s event is the WINE PULL! Even if you can’t attend the dinner, you can contribute to our effort.

How Can you Help?
• Simply donate one or more bottles of your favorite wine ($15 min value)
• Donated wine will be beautifully wrapped and displayed at the dinner, recognizing the donor’s name and business.
• Tribute Dinner guests will purchase numbered corks for $25 each to win the wine with the corresponding number. Everyone goes home a winner!

Call for Nominations

We want your input on future Tribute Dinner nominees.  Each year, the Public Policy committee collaborates on submissions made by membership to determine who we should honor at the Annual Memorial Tribute Dinner.  Don't miss the opportunity to submit someone that you admire in the green industry.  We want to celebrate their contributions!

Honoring Chuck Tosovsky

Charles J. "Chuck" Tosovsky, served as President of the the Illinois Nurserymen's Association in 1980 and was instrumental in helping to create and grow the former Mid Am Trade Show. Tosovsky remained engaged and extremely active in association and industry matters long after his tenure on the Board of Directors.  Chuck received myriad honors and accolades for his unwavering commitment to the nursery and landscape industry at both the state and national levels, and was a strong proponent and generous supporter of public policy programs, legislative initiatives, education and research.  In 2008, he was the celebrated honoree at this very dinner.  In 2012, he was inducted into the American Nursery and Landscape Association's Hall of Fame.  ANLA’s Bob Dolibois presented Chuck with this esteemed honor at yet another one of these very dinners.  In 2015, the IGIA Board of Directors voted unanimously to rename the annual event in honor of Chuck Tosovsky, to celebrate his life and honor his legacy.
