IGIA to Have Significant Presence During IGC Show
The IGIA is hosting several events in conjunction with this year's IGC Show in Chicago. Tuesday, August 19, IGIA is having a Social Mixer (dinner, drinks and networking) at the Lou Malnati's Gold Coast restaurant. It is open to all members, Past Presidents, current Board Directors and friends and colleagues of the association. It is only $25 per person.
The following day, Wednesday, Aug. 20, the IGIA is bringing back its popular Retail Roundtable Forum at Navy Pier from 11:30 am - 1 pm. This is a can't-miss opportunity to use your lunch hour to share ideas, network and learn from colleagues in the industry with roundtable discussions on various retail/garden center topics. Industry experts from companies such as Bailey Nurseries, Chalet Nurseries, Countryside Garden Center, CopperTree Outdoor Lifestyles, Lurvey Landscape Supply, Mariani Nurseries, Pizzo Ecological Restoration and Proven Winners will serve as moderators. Also on Aug. 20, the IGIA will host its Annual Membership Meeting at 2 pm. In addition to the IGIA's activities, this is the perfect day to visit the IGC Show, as Martha Stewart is the free keynote on Wednesday morning and Eddie Money is the free concert on Wednesday night.
***Please note, in addition to the IGIA event forms linked above (right-click to save them to your desktop), you must register for the IGC Show so you can have access to Room 329 where both the 11A Retail Roundtable and the IGIA's 2P Annual Meeting will be held. It's free and it's easy, but you must visit www.igcshow.com/chicago2014 and register for an "Exhibit Hall Admission" pass so you are granted access to association activities at Navy Pier, as well as to the trade show floor, the free Martha Stewart keynote and free Eddie Money concert.
